Meet The Team

Dr. Dean S. Stern, DPM

Dr. Stern was raised in Evanston, IL and attended college at University of Illinois. He attended the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine from 1972 to 1976. Dr. Stern was selected to do an Orthopedic Fellowship at RUSH Presbyterian St Luke’s Medical Center from 1976 to 1980. He has been in practice full time since 1980. Dr. Stern was the first podiatrist to have a paper published in the American Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. He has served as section head for podiatry for the Department of Orthopedic Surgery for the last 25 years at RUSH University Medical Center and RUSH North Shore Medical Center. Dr. Stern has trained at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in the area of Neurosensory Examination and is certified by the Dellon Institute of Peripheral Nerve Surgery. He is trained in the latest surgical techniques and medical treatment of Peripheral Neuropathy.

Dr. Jeffery H. Alexander, DPM

Born and raised in Chicago’s northern suburbs, Dr. Alexander is a graduate of University of Illinois and Dr .William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Health Sciences. Dr .Alexander completed a three-year surgical residency at Westside VA Medical Center (Jesse Brown VA) affiliated with University of Illinois at Chicago Hospital. He also completed an advanced reconstructive surgical fellowship in Europe and is trained in the most current surgical techniques including arthroscopic foot and ankle surgery, external fixation, AgilityTM ankle joint replacement, laser surgery, and advanced wound care and diabetic limb salvage.
